Reuben Kopel

Reuben joined Eden in 2021 and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations, including legal, compliance, tax, accounting, finance, and other back-office functions.  In addition, he serves as the firm’s General Counsel.  Reuben brings his decades of legal and transaction experience to help support our deal teams and our clients.

Before joining Eden, Reuben was a Partner and General Counsel at Owl Creek Asset Management, a credit and event-driven hedge fund manager, where he oversaw all legal, regulatory, and compliance functions.  Prior to joining Owl Creek, Reuben was Special Counsel at Baker Botts LLP, and earlier in his career, served as a Vice-President and Counsel at Oppenheimer Asset Management. Reuben began his career as an Associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP.
